Priess A/S is currently undergoing a dynamic development process with the clear goal of becoming one of Europe’s five leading manufacturers of architectural and customized columns—according to the company’s strategy.
Ole Bjerre Christiansen, Managing Director, comments: “The market is characterized by individualism and and the desire to be able to make your own mark on your surroundings, especially when it comes to urban beautification and new development projects. We are clearly noticing this need in the inquiries we receive from local governments, luminaire manufacturers and landscape architects,” and adds: “We personally feel the time is ripe for innovation, and we are noting a waning interest in conventional columns.” This is also why back in 2008 we decided to work closely with some of the sector’s leading designers to develop our own range of architectural lighting columns.
They comprise only a small portion of the activities we’ve launched to meet the growth strategy defined for Priess A/S. In addition to the above, the company aims to launch several new products to complement our already prime range of lighting and antenna columns. The development of solar-cell-based stand-alone lighting columns is a new segment where Priess A/S has made great strides in product development and marketing.
Priess A/S also adheres to a customer-oriented strategy in the area of transformer stations and technical cabins, increasingly dominated by customized solutions. From selling “empty” transformer stations, the company is increasing its sales of fully-equipped transformer stations delivered on site, ready for immediate connection and operation.
Based on the structure of transformer stations, we develop new customized technical cabins for other applications, such as electrical, ventilation and pumping stations for the district heating sector.
Based on Priess A/S’s flexible, solution-oriented approach we are carrying out more and more projects within all our business areas.
