When you sign up for our newsletter, you typically submit your company name, name, e-mail and, if relevant, a postal code.
These data enable us to send you our newsletter and personalise the content.
Data about your use of the newsletters – including whether you open the newsletters, how long you have them open, the time when you delete the email/newsletter and whether you click on links – are collected by our IT system in an anonymised form. We use these data to improve our service so we can optimise our targeting and adapt the content to reader interests.
The legal basis for our collection/storage/processing of personal data is Article 6(1) (b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
The purpose of our newsletter is to generate interest in our company.
Your personal data are stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, the data that we and our data processor possess will be deleted not later than on the first business day after we receive your cancellation notice. Other data will be deleted on a continuing basis, such as email correspondence which may be stored for up to 15 years and then deleted.
We exchange your data with an e-mail system which we use to send out newsletters.
As we use an email system located in the USA as our platform for sending out newsletters, your data will be transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA.
Please note that the e-mail system is a member of the Privacy Shield programme, so this framework forms the basis for our transfer of your personal data to the e-mail system.
You have the right to access the data we process about you, etc.
You have the right to have inaccurate data about you rectified (pursuant to Article 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation).
You have the right to have any of your personal data held by us and our data processor (in the event we have exchanged your data with a data processor) erased (pursuant to Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation). You may exercise this right by cancelling your subscription to the newsletter, and we will make sure to inform our data processor (in the event we have exchanged your data with a data processor) that your data must be deleted if you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
You have the right to restrict our processing of your data (pursuant to Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation).
In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data (pursuant to Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation). You may also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing.
