At Priess, we believe that strong communication is the key to well-being, quality and safety at work – especially since our team includes employees from multiple nationalities.
That’s why we’ve just completed a targeted Danish language programme for our international production employees, in close collaboration with VUC Holstebro. Huge thanks to Martin – and especially to language teacher Lene Clemmesen Stavnager – for a great, productive partnership!
✅ Prior to the course, each employee’s level of Danish was evaluated
✅ Lessons were tailored to each employee’s language level, with a special Klar til start (“Ready to Go”) module for complete beginners
✅ Seven Friday sessions from 9:00 – 11:45 during work hours – full of energy, good humour and focused learning
✅ Production-related elements included: a glossary of key technical terms and a memory game designed to make learning fun
It wasn’t just about grammar – it was about understanding technical drawings, safety instructions and communicating more effectively with colleagues in everyday work.
For us, this is an investment in quality, safety - and above all, in people. We believe in fostering an environment where everyone can succeed and contribute their best - together.
The course concludes just before the summer holiday, when employees will be reassessed to evaluate their impressive progress. We are especially proud that three employees have chosen to continue their Danish lessons in the evenings after the holidays to further enhance their skills.
We are excited to follow their progress.
