Priess A/S will deliver the majority of the future’s green substations, which boast SF6-free technology, for the Cerius–Radius grid on a new three-year agreement 🌿
As has been publicised previously, their approach is to do things in the most sustainable way possible and for that reason, a tender for transformer substations free from the potent greenhouse gas SF6 has just been awarded at an estimated value of DKK 900 million.
This step is a part of Cerius-Radius’ sustainability strategy and promotes innovative solutions. Vacuum technology and atmospheric air replace SFB in the new substations, and this contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Cerius-Radius is leading the way towards a more responsible and sustainable development of the grid – and their expectation that they will roll out 800 new substations in 2024 alone heavily underlines this commitment.
We are very proud to have been selected and we look forward to delivering on the strategy for a more sustainable and innovative future.
