Priess A/S, a leading company in transformer substations, can now officially confirm that the acquisition of ABB’s local Compact Secondary Substation product line in Norway has been completed. After a period of formalities, everything is in place and from 1 April 2026, the units will operate together as one integrated organisation under Priess.
The acquisition marks an important step in Priess’s Nordic growth strategy and strengthens the company’s presence in Norway and across the Nordic region.
From acquisition to integration
Although the acquisition was announced in the autumn, it is only now that the collaboration can begin in practice. This means that Priess and the Norwegian unit will work closely together across the organisation, combining competencies and collaborating on product development.
“We have been looking forward to this moment. Now we can finally start working as one integrated organisation and truly realise the potential we saw from the very beginning. Secure transition for customers and partners
In the initial phase, the focus will be on ensuring stable operations and maintaining the high level of quality for our Norwegian customers. The current product range will continue unchanged, and the location, sales team and order processing will remain the same. In this way, customers and partners will experience continuity in both collaboration and deliveries.
At the same time, Priess is working to introduce its broader product range to the Norwegian market. This is expected to be launched after the summer holidays in 2026.

Locally-based Nordic collaboration
The Norwegian unit will remain locally rooted, with the same employees and expertise as before. At the same time, it will now become an integrated part of Priess, where collaboration across Denmark and Norway will strengthen both innovation and delivery capacity.
