In collaboration with utilities company Energi Midt, Priess A/S supplied a custom secondary substation to the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in Herning, central Denmark.
The secondary substation supplies both MCH Arena, where football team FC Midtjylland play their home games, and the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena, which is the venue for a wide range of large events.
The station is used for normal operations at the Jyske Bank Boxen with room for 2x 1000 kVA transformers. The substation is divided into separate rooms for Jyske Bank Boxen and the MCH Arena respectively.
An extra substation has also been provided and can be taken into use whenever there is a need for more power, e.g. for larger events. The station has 1x DTH 315 fan.
Priess A/S undertook the construction of low-voltage switchboards in the secondary substation. The two LV switchboards used for the Jyske Bank Boxen are designed so that they can be connected together, meaning that one transformer can be serviced without disrupting the power inside Jyske Bank Boxen.
The colour of the station matches the colour of the Jyske Bank Boxen MCH Arena.
