Our society and infrastructure are becoming increasingly electrified, generating demand for an efficient, flexible, and cost-effective roll-out. Priess plug-and-play substations are used for solar farms, charging stations and power supplies because they offer reduced installation time, are built for long-term, hassle-free operation and never compromise on safety. The unique plug-and-play cabins are delivered fully finished or as standard cabins, and simply need to be connected when delivered on site and placed on the foundation.
All secondary substations supplied by Priess A/S are produced at our own factory in Vinderup – this includes 99% of all the components used in our cabins.
This guarantees reliable Danish quality, fast delivery times and a great degree of flexibility.
We test our secondary substations regularly so that operators and passers-by are always guaranteed the highest possible level of safety.
Among other types of testing, we have performed several accredited arc flash tests on our secondary substations over the years – most recently in 2020.
We test our secondary substations in accordance with DS/EN/IEC 62271-202. Our tested secondary substations have thus been granted a classification known as DS/EN/IEC 62271-202 – IAC-AB. Over the years we have performed tests at both 20 kA and 36 kA for one second.
An arc flash test is a test which seeks to ensure that passers-by in the vicinity of a secondary substation will not be injured should a short circuiting occur inside. Performing arc flash tests is not a legal requirement in Denmark; however, in order to make sure you get the best and most secure substation possible, we test all of our secondary substations continuously.
In addition to our standard secondary substations, we can also supply custom substations in measurement intervals of 200 mm (width/length) and in a colour of your choosing from the RAL scale.
We can deliver the finished substation to your location. It is up to you whether you want to handle delivery and medium voltage systems yourself or leave it to us.
All of our custom cabins are initially constructed like our standard cabins, before we then increase the size of the profile pipes and reinforce the roof profiles. The roof will also be removable, just as it is in our standard substations. The roof can be lifted by attaching a lifting point to each corner.
All cabins (including our standard cabins) can be supplied either with or without a concrete foundation, with custom recesses for feeding cables.
