Scalable District Heating – A Modular System
Modular stations from Priess are a suitable solution for large and complex facilities where flexibility and rapid installation are crucial factors. Each function – such as the supply and return flow, the controls and measurement systems – is located in its own module, which is prefabricated, test-run and transported separately.
All Priess function types can be constructed as modular stations. This goes for booster and pump functions, low-temperature shunt solutions, exchanger stations and meter and valve functions. The modules can be freely combined, allowing capacity and function to match the project’s requirements – even in larger utilities and international projects.
On site, the modules are quickly connected up across all levels – mechanics, piping and electrics – and the solution is prepared for operation with minimal installation time. Each module can be designed with individual ventilation and climate controls that are adapted to the specific nature of the module in question. This ensures stable temperature conditions and reduces the strain placed on sensitive equipment. The ventilation setup is adapted to local noise requirements and can be connected up to monitoring systems.
Ease of servicing is central to the modular approach. Each module has a clear layout and plenty of working clearance, marked component placement and safe access routes. This speeds up the maintenance process and makes it less dependent on specialised tools.
